NEXT ADOPTION EVENT - DOGS AND CATS

Hours: 1:00 - 4:00

ADOPTION DAYS - 1st , 2nd and 5th Saturday of every month at Petco-Cordova 1250 Germantown Parkway in Cordova . Hours: 1 -5 (check each week on times as they may vary)

Fenced yards required on most adoptions and local adoptions only, as a home visit is required. Vet references and personal references may be asked before approval of adoption. E-mail us for a copy of our adoption and agreement forms. We hold the right to refuse adoptions not meeting our guidelines. If you see a pet on our website, call or e-mail and an appointment will be made to arrange for you to meet the pet once you have been approved for the adoption. No visits are done at the foster homes. Meetings are made at local pet stores, parks or your home.

SFARR is temporarily full at this time and is not taking in any new dogs, if you have any questions please call 901-482-9921 or e-mail us at stfrancisrescues@comcast.net. We may still be able to help you with your pet or one you have found. If you adopted one of our rescues and can not keep him for whatever reason please calll us or e-mail us as we always try to take any of our rescues back...... Thank you .....as soon as space allows, we will again be able to take in new animals.

Blessing of the Pets in October 2007 was a lot of fun and thanks for all who came and we look forward to next year at this important event. tba. Tax deductible donations accepted for all events.

News: SFARR is in the process of planning to build a shelter/kennel into a existing large shed. Since the building is already up, we can immediately begin to refurbish the inside with our kennel spaces. We are in need of building supplies such as concrete, concrete blocks(lots of these ) rebarb, metal fence posts, welded wire or cyclone fencing, electric water heater, and the services of a electrician as well as monetary donations. This building will be heated and air-conditioned for the dogs. We will have a bathing room so the dogs can have nice warm baths before adoptions. The individual kennels will have dog beds and the dogs will have a doggie door leading outside to their fenced yards. If you can help please let us know..... ....... SFARR dogs and cats are microchipped.

St. Francis Animal Rescue & Refuge is 100% dependent on donations and adoptions fees. All animals are in foster family homes, receiving lots of love and attention. Monetary donations are needed for vet bills etc. or fencing, gates, posts, bags of concrete etc would be welcome, fencing need not be new just in good condition. Please stop by our adoption days and fundraising events to sponsor a pet or make a donation. WE NEED DONATIONS OF FRONTLINE OR ADVANTAGE FOR FLEA PREVENTION AND HEARTGARD, OR INTERCEPTOR FOR HEARTWORM PREVENTION.

Who We Are

SFARR is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill animal rescue and refuge, who depends solely on volunteers, adoption fees and donations. All donations are tax deductable.
SFARR Rescue - is dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused, neglected, injured and sick animals and providing an opportunity for these animals to be adopted into permanent, safe, loving homes.
SFARR Refuge - is dedicated to providing a permanent safe-haven for animals considered unadoptable because of age, health, physical disabilities or behavioral problems.
